Peugeot 308 CC: High-Res Images & Official Details

*Update: Click here for 56 High-Res Images

Following an earlier leak this morning, Peugeot has officially released details on the all-new 308 CC prior to the cabriolet’s debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. Like its predecessor the 307 CC, Peugeot’s new four-seater coupe-cabriolet features a fully
automatic retractable roof that can be transformed in 20 seconds. With the roof in its place, the Pug has a more than satisfactory boot capacity of 465 litres which drops to 266 litres if you decide to fold down the hardtop.

Design-wise, the 308 CC is far more elegant and stylish than rival cars like the VW Eos, Renault Megane CC and especially, the Ford Focus CC. Compared to the hatchback versions of the 308, the CC receives more sculptured sides along with an all-new design for the rear-end featuring LED tail-lights and a distinctive, diffuser style rear bumper. -Continued

Inside, logistics dictated the use of the 308 hatchback’s dashboard as is, but that’s not a bad thing at all as the 308’s cabin is one of the best in its class. However, the entire passenger compartment is now trimmed in leather while all passengers get four deeply sculpted anatomic seats.

Furthermore, for the first time on a Peugeot coupe cabriolet, the 308 CC sees the introduction of a Mercedes-like warm air heating system built into the front seats that acts like a scarf by diffusing warm air adjustable for temperature, flow and direction around the occupant’s shoulders / neck.

Initially, Peugeot will offer the 308 CC with two engines, a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline unit delivering 150Hp and a new 2.0 litre HDi turbo diesel with 140Hp that complies with the stricter Euro 5 emission standards. Both engines are combined with a six-speed manual gearbox or optionally, with an automatic transmission.
