Bugatti unveiled new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport

Bugatti the France car manufacture has unveiled new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, the special-edition model broke a new landspeed world record for production cars hitting a top speed of 267.81 mph.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super SportThe Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport gets a manipulated 8.0L 16-cylinder turbocharged unit with increased horsepower from 1,001-hp to 1,200-hp which is 199hp more than the standard model with a maximum torque of 1,106 lb-ft. Top speed for the production models will be automatically limited to 259 mph to defend the tires.

The Veyron 16.4 Super Sport was piloted by Bugattis official test-driver, Pierre Henri Raphanel, who returned two runs one at 265.3 mph and one at 269.6 mph. The persons at German Technical Inspection Agency called TUV and Guinness took the average of both times which came in at 268 mph.

Bugatti announced in a report that the first 5 Super Sport cars to come off the production line will feature a special series of their own with the same configuration as the landspeed record car with black and orange finish. The production models will be electronically limited to 257.9 mph to protect the tires. The Veyron 16.4 Super Sports will be going to make its first debut at Pebble Beach in August.
