Founders Drinks With Sarah Lacy

We’ve set a new record with the Founders Drinks event held last week by having over 100 founders under one roof. And this was mainly due to our special guest for the evening, TechCrunch senior editor – Sarah Lacy.

Sarah Lacy was in Singapore last week to check out the local startup scene before heading to Indonesia for SparxUp. She has an upcoming book titled,  ”Brilliant, Crazy, Cocky: How the Top 1% of Entrepreneurs Profit from Global Chaos”, about her two year journey to South America, Africa and Asia. Though she mentions that Singapore is not part of her book, we should buy it to find out more about the entrepreneurial scene in our neighbouring country, Indonesia. We have a detailed interview coming up soon.

In addition to Lacy, we had a special guest who made an appearance at this event, Dr. Werner Vogels, CTO of Amazon. He was in town to attend IDA’s Infocomm Industry Forum 2010. Amazon is hiring and rapidly expanding its services across Southeast Asia.
