Applications open for Echelon 2011 Startup Launchpad

With every passing year, we see a deluge of new startups and products dominating the airwaves and competing for attention from consumers. Last year saw the emergence of location-based apps, social networking and productivity software.

What will this year bring? With new technical platforms and a new economic landscape with Asia at the fore, we are witnessing a shift in the digital landscape in Asian countries. Echelon 2011 Startup Launchpad will highlight some of these innovative products that could reshape Asia’s tech ecosystem.

echelon 2011 Startup Launchpad is a platform for companies to get their products in front of more than 1,000 over investors, entrepreneurs, developers, regulators and tech industry executives.

Over the past three years, we have showcased over 100 startups. Last year we saw 50 companies from 10 countries displaying their wares to 700 delegates. We’re stepping it up  a notch this year. Here’s how it goes:

Now: Check your eligibility (detailed below) and then submit your information on this form.

Feb 17: Launchpad and Exhibition submissions close

End of March: You’ll be contacted about whether you’re selected for the Satellite Launchpad and Exhibition.

Throughout April: Satellite Launchpad events in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Singapore. Companies that don’t make the cut for the final Launchpad round can still sign up to exhibit.

June 11,12:  Ten winners from the satellite events pitch live at Echelon 2011 in Singapore.  Winners will be announced and they’ll get an awesome suite of startup-friendly prizes.

Eligibility

-Startup should be 12 months old or less at time of submission

-Based in Asia (that means it has to be on this list)

-Working on web and mobile-based technologies.
