Rajmata Gayatri Devi passed away at 90

The elegant former princess of Cooch Behar, Gayatri Devi, who became the maharani of Jaipur, died at 90, after prolonged illness.

Gayatri Devi once listed among the ‘World’s Top Ten Most Beautiful Women’ by Vogue magazine and a style icon during her time, Gayatri Devi was the founder of the Swatantra Party and a member of the third and fourth Lok Sabha.
