Programme

7.15pm: Registration

7.30pm: Taking care of the REST with PHP for your web, mobile, and desktop applications
Creating an API Server is a better approach if you are targeting multiple clients or allowing others to consume your services. This session walks you through the process of quickly setting up your RESTful api server.
RESTful services are far simpler and lighter than SOAP Web Services, and also provide a meaningful URL making it self explanatory thus the best choice
For example, if you want to allow your CRM to be integrated to 3rd party applications or you want to build a mobile app, creating a RESTful server will be the ideal way.

8.00pm: Break

8.15pm: Overview of Drupal APIs and coding standards
Collaborations are becoming more common among DrupalShops and Drupal freelancers as the vast options and complexity of projects.
A coding standard is a set of guidelines, rules and regulations on how to write code. Coding standards make programms more maintainable and secure.
Sharing the same coding standard allows smoother integration and easier expansion of your team as you’re following common conventions and not just coding according to your own preference.

Come to the meetup to hear more about:
- What is the Drupal Coding standard
- Why coding standards make a difference?
- Benefits of using the coding standard/APIs when developing

8.45pm: Q&A

9pm: Networking
