Vinci Sport: Portuguese Ferrari Dino Heads For Production!
Looks like the Portuguese “Ferrari Dino” styled by Ernesto Freitas and created by CEIIA - Engineering Centre, stirred so much attention that the Dino inspired sportscar will be produced in a limited series of about 100 units. According to initial information, Freitas’ retro-penned Vinci Sport will make extensive use of carbon fiber for both the chassis and the exterior body panels while power will come from a transverse rear-mid engine delivering more than 200Hp. According to CEIIA, "the objective behind this project was to build a vehicle with sportive characteristics being demonstrator of the Portuguese capacity for the conception, development and production of niche vehicles where it harnesses the development of associated technology and the creation of abilities to the level of the human resources, taking advantage from a large national industrial infrastructure, a reference in the automotive industry suppliers." -Continued : Click "Read More..." below

2009 Ferrari Dino: Who Needs Ferrari, Portuguese Create 1:1 Scale Prototype!
The Dino is on, the Dino is off, the Dino is on; how many posts have you read about Ferrari’s hypothetical plans for reviving the Dino nameplate in the near future? Certainly more times than you can handle. So the hell with Ferrari! A Portuguese designer named Ernesto Freitas decided to take action and build a real-life size prototype of a future Ferrari Dino without any Ferrari involvement at all! We don’t have all the details on our hands yet, but we’ve contacted Ernesto and we hope he’ll be able to answer all our questions soon enough. So for the time being, follow the jump and check out the current image gallery. -Click "Read More..." below to check out the galleryWe thank our friend Vincent from Autoblog.nl for the tip!

Ferrari Dino Concept - Design Proposition
Based on various rumors that Ferrari’s planning to revive the Dino, 22-year-old CGI artist Urgur Sahin created his vision of how a modern interpretation of the legendary Ferrari should look like. While Urgur’s proposition stays true to the original design language of the classic Ferrari Dino, thanks to its more compact dimensions, the car feels more dynamic. However, in our opinion, it also looks less sensual compared to the original, but we’re not designers so just forget we said that. Since we posted this article, we guess you’d also like to hear what we have to say about the “Dino rumors”. Well, put it this way; if the Dino is associated with the F430’s successor, then yes, these rumours could end up being true but if we’re talking about a "base" Ferrari aiming at Porsche's 911, then simply forget about it. Why make Ferrari less exclusive by broadening your clientele when you can do that with Maserati? -More pictures after the jump
