Oh Hot Chocolat

Drinking hot chocolate every morning is now my new obsession. It all started when I watched the movie Chocolat (2000) of Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp a couple of weeks ago. That movie  really inspired me to try make a hot chocolate. Why not, I love chocolate by all means.  So lo and behold  moi went to a store to get cocoa powder (black&greens organic cocoa powder), rice milk and condensed milk to make my own version of hot chocolate. I decided not to copy the way how in the movie Chocolat did.  Because number one I don't know where to find Mayan chocolate in our neighborhood. Two, I don't like spicy. Three, I don't like too sweet for my drinks. I make strong hot chocolate just like espresso instead. I want simple yet strong hot chocolate. My measurements did get a good result because my hot chocolate taste sooooo good.  Love it!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of rice milk or whole milk
1/2 cup of boiling water
2 teaspoon of bittersweet cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of condensed milk

To prepare:

1. Whisk the cocoa powder with boiling water until the powder dissolves. Sit aside.

2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add rice milk or whole milk until bubbles appear around the edge.

3. Reduce heat to low; add chocolate and condensed milk whisking occasionally until chocolate and condensed milk dissolves.

4. Turn off heat.  Serve in small cups and sprinkle a small bit of ground cinnamon.

Chocolate in a Post Mail Envelop Wrapper

Another reason for a fat burner pills or should I say for another guilty pleasure I acquired is this chocolate xoxox. I'm loving chocolate but not all, this one right here is exceptional because I like the ingredients combination it has for this chocolate. Love the package too! It's a mail envelop with all the stamps on it. Very clever. Inside of this  wrapper has a written poet. A romantic type of chocolate, noh?  It indeed created like a post mail with a love letter attached. How sweet. The chocolate taste sweet too but not too sweet because it has salt and it is made of 55% cocoa as seen on the label in front. This is something that you gonna get for a gift for those chocolate lovers. Sweet indeed!

Guilty Pleasure: The Godiva Chocolate

Grandmama handed me this beautiful little box the other day when the husband and I went to see her and mommy. I was surprised when they said this is their early Mothers Day gift for me (although I'm not literally a mother yet, only because I'm a mother of our dog Stormy :-)) since the said celebration is almost approaching. And they also want me to know that I am love by them- so sweet, eh! Yes, they are. And very thoughtful too.
They know chocolate is my favorite that is why they got me one of this special Godiva chocolate edition. These are not big each of the chocolate just has a regular bite size but my goodness it was taste so unbelievably good. I promised grandmama and mommy not to eat them until the day of Mothers Day (this coming Sunday already) but can't really wait until then. I ate it when we got home after I took photos of it. It did not even stays a day longer in our house! I know, I'm bad. *wink*. I couldn't resist the temptation of this guilty pleasure little thing. Hehehe Why oh why?! It's alright, I know it didn't consume tons of calories when eating this and so as my sugar blood count is perfect! Grandmama and mommy laughing at me when I told them that the said chocolate are gone eaten by a squirrel alike and that's me. Haha.

I learned that the Godiva was founded in Brussels, Belgium in 1926. And was open in Paris in 1958 as first Godiva shop outside Belgium, later on Godiva has reached United States. Until now their products have continued success to reach the heart of every chocoholic person. It is well known as one of the best chocolate in the world. That is why the price is also high. *sigh*

(on the picture; the white color star shape piece of chocolate has strawberry filling in it. yum..yum..)

Godiva Belgian Blends

A number of flavors are available of this product including
French Vanilla Latte, Dark Chocolate Mocha, and Milk Chocolate Mocha. The drink contains coffee, cocoa powder as well caffeine added. This is like the other brand Starbucks, a ready to drink coffee. I personally buy this, and liked to have in the office at work rather than the instant coffee to blend. Because it's less caffeine aside the taste is good.
