A three run victory for India over Sri Lanka in a 825 runs match

A great match between India Srilanka scoring a total of 825 runs on a single match,and Sehwag 146 helps India gain a victory by three runs. It was only the second time that more than 800 runs were scored in a One-day match. The match between Australia and South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006 had produced 872 runs which is the highest odi score so far.

Apart from Sehwag's shattering knock, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (72) and Sachin Tendulkar (69) were the other notable contributors in India's record total.

Visakhapatnam ODI has been shifted to Nagpur

The second ODI of the five-match series between India and Sri Lanka has been shifted to Nagpur, which is to be played at Visakhapatnam , AP on 18 December 2009. The police in Visakhapatnam expressed their inability to provide enough security for the one dayer in the wake of political crisis in Andhra Pradesh over Telangana issue.


BCCI decided to shift the match to Nagpur and the match will be a day-night battle .

Harbhajan Singh unhappy with Motera pitch

India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh shows his anger with the dull pitch in the drawn Ahmedabad Test against Sri Lanka, such batting-friendly tracks would kill Test match es. In this match neither he nor Murli ( of SL ) bowled impressively.
Seven of the last 12 Tests in India have been draws. One triple century, six double and as many as 32 Test centuries have been hit.

It doesn't matter if the pitch is not spinner-friendly. It would be alright even if it helps seamers alone. But bowlers has to do something. They shouldn't be there to just serve the batsmen.
