Mercedes New F700 Concept Car

Mercedes-Benz will reportedly show off a new concept car at next month’s 2010 Detroit Auto Show that will preview the automaker’s future design language.
The information comes directly from the automaker’s new design chief, Gordon Wagener, who is keen to raise the design credentials of cars wearing the Three Pointed Star.
"We want to elevate our design towards art and if any company can do it Mercedes can," he revealed to Autocar. Wagener wasn’t willing to give any specific details but he explained that it would be a "pure design concept which is long and exaggerated."
Importantly, it won’t hint at any particular production model although there’s rumors that it will resemble the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS, which you can see in recent spy shots by clicking here.
The last time we saw such a daring concept car from Mercedes-Benz was back in 2007 when the automaker unveiled the F700 pictured above. While that concept mostly previewed the automaker’s future technology, it too was a preview of what Mercedes-Benz had in store for its upcoming production cars.

2010 Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid
An all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz ML with an electrically assisted V-6 that generates V-8–like power but with better fuel economy. Combining a 275-hp, 3.5-litre V-6 with two electric motors in the two-mode hybrid transmission—which was co-developed with BMW and General Motors when Mercedes was married to Chrysler—the power train delivers a total output of 335 hp and 381 lb-ft of torque. A 288-volt nickel-metal-hydride battery under the rear cargo floor provides the current for the motors, with the resulting bump in efficiency bringing fuel economy to 21 mpg city/24 highway, up from the all-wheel-drive ML350’s 15/20 rating and the 13/18 figure for the V-8–powered ML550. Want some road respect for your cleanliness? Forget it: other than the bulged hood—which we kind of dig from a design standpoint—and the unique LED tail lamps, there are few visual cues to point out this car’s hybridity.
Mercedes-Benz and Mclaren – The Ending era
Sad news! Mercedes-Benz and McLaren are finishing the final models of the SLR Stirling Moss. The ‘SLR’-story started in 2004 with the introduction of the swing-wing Coupé continuing the story of the legendary SLR racing sports cars of the 1950s.
Five exciting variants in the SLR family were made – two coupés, two roadster versions and the unique Stirling Moss. Overall 2000 SLR models have been produced, only 75 of them are the limited roofless version.
However, the heritage will not end. The ownership of a SLR also means a membership ticket to the SLR. CLUB. The spirit of the SLR will live on in this exclusive community of gentleman-drivers even after production ceases. The event calendar of the SLR. CLUB includes driving events on race circuits, participation in the Mille Miglia and tours covering picturesque routes in Europe. True enthusiasts will stick to the car.

MERCEDES-BENZ C CLASS T-MODEL

MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS T-MODEL BY PIECHA DESIGN
The T-models from Mercedes-Benz are extremely popular, since they combine luxury, sportiness and the generous passenger-compartment space of an estate car in perfection. At the same time, it is to be noted that particularly the sportiness has increased in the past years, and the actual storage space has become smaller from generation to generation as a negative effect of the perpetual search for a body design that is as streamlined as possible. But the times are gone when estate cars were still misused as workhorses and only pushed off in the direction of Africa after 300,000 or 400,000 km. Nowadays estate cars are absolute lifestyle models which are not necessarily driven by a father of a family, but also gladly by fashion-conscious single men or women.

Marcus Piecha, Managing Director of Piecha Design, who once again proves a fine hand in technical design terms, also shows himself to be strong in terms of trend. All components, and there are many, fit harmoniously into the body designs predetermined by Mercedes and conjure up a genuine exclusive lifestyle design vehicle from a simple estate car! In addition to a two-lamella grille made of chrome, which is simply exchanged with the original part, Piecha also treats the C-Class front to a headlight mask set made of PU-RIM, which are securely and easily affixed, and transform the large parking light area into a modern LED light-band look. The front spoiler lip, which in addition is easily mounted on the AMG styling front spoiler, is available in a primed model or optionally in black genuine carbon or, as used here, coated in silver genuine carbon. Custom-fit daytime running light elements - which are delivered ready to install and can be very easily exchanged for the original grille including fog lamps - have been integrated into the AMG styling front apron. Effective immediately, the LED daylight running light elements are also available for the serial bumpers and not only for the AMG styling.

Perfectly integrated into the back of the T-model, the AMG bumper obtains a diffuser set which is available in three surface versions, once in a black-structured version, then coated in silver carbon or classic in black carbon. The "Quadro" 4-pipe exhaust system, whose end pipes are very easily welded in place of the original end pipes, are also integrated in the AMG rear bumper. For all 6-cylinder models Piecha also offers the possibility to make a conversion to the original C63 AMG exhaust system.
In order to lend the grandiose 4-pipe look the necessary kick, Piecha has now also developed and installed a power converter for the C-Class. As a result, the lethargic start is eliminated and a noticeably better vehicle response with much better engine power is realised. The switching procedures from the upper gears go much quicker and are presented in a much sportier fashion as a result. A positive secondary effect: in addition to considerably more sportiness, a reduction of fuel consumption is achieved through the more sensible foot on the gas pedal and the more spontaneous vehicle response. Installation is conceivably simple and also a veritable plug & play solution. Incidentally, the CS power converter is also suitable for the new E-Class sedan W212 and the E-Coupe W207.

Exclusive Piecha dp2 Phantom wheels with a press-fitted stainless steel rim well polished to high gloss turn in the wheel housings. They are optionally available in classic high-gloss silver or also in trendy satin black. This wheel/tyre combination not only provides perfect grip conditions, but also an enhanced sporty look in the format 8.5 x 19 ET38 with 225/35 ZR19 in the front and 9.5 x 19 ET45 with 255/30 ZR19 Dunlop Sport Maxx in the rear. This wheel/tyre combination can be installed without body retrofitting. The lower suspension setting of the chassis is taken over by custom-built sports performance springs which are optionally available with a 20mm or 35mm lower suspension setting. As with this exclusive estate car, Piecha provides an individually adjustable threaded suspension for the perfect tuning of vehicle height with simultaneously outstanding comfort.

Brabus 22-Inch Wheels
Brabus Unveiled 22-Inch Wheels!
Size does matter after all: With the new 22-inch Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels Brabus opens the door to a new dimension for the latest Mercedes S-Class sedan and the CL-Class coupe.
The latest Brabus development offers more than just spectacular looks; the new wheels also provide sporty handling with large safety reserves. Brabus further refines the luxury sedan with strikingly styled sport front fenders.
Discerning automotive enthusiasts can choose from three popular Brabus Monoblock designs. The most classic of Brabus wheels, the Brabus Monoblock VI light-alloy wheel with its six polished double spokes is available in this new king-size format as is the sporty- looking Monoblock S wheel styling with its five polished double spokes. The third Brabus option in this size is the 22-inch version of the Monoblock E wheel family. It features nine strikingly styled spokes and a polished drop center.
The new 22-inch Monoblock wheels can be mounted on the luxury sedan and the exclusive coupe in size 10Jx22 front and back. The German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) approved high-performance tires in size 275/25 ZR 22 in front combined with size 295/25 ZR 22 tires on the rear axle. Thanks to a special tire design geared specifically towards luxury sedans and high-performance coupes, the new BRABUS tire/wheel combinations offer sporty and agile handling paired with excellent ride comfort.
To give the S-Class sedan an even more striking appearance the Brabus designers have developed custom-tailored aluminum sport fenders that replace the production front fenders. The exclusive appearance is characterized by an air outlet made from clear-coated carbon and a horizontal brace that spans the outlet with embossed BRABUS signet and integrated LED lights. The latter are activated just like the ones in the Brabus rocker panels via the keyless remote or by pulling on a door handle.
In addition, Brabus offers specially calibrated suspension modules for these latest top-of-the-line complete-wheel sets. They are available in custom versions for vehicles with air suspension or with ABC active suspension. They give both sedan and coupe a sportier yet still comfortable ride, and lower the ride height by some 25 millimeters (1.0 inches).
The new large wheels naturally offer ample space for highly efficient fade-free Brabus high-performance brake systems. Three different versions are available including a high-end brake system with 12-piston fixed aluminum calipers and vented and perforated front discs measuring 380 x 36 millimeters (15.0 x 1.4 inches). The rear axle features discs measuring 355 x 28 millimeters (14.0 x 1.1 inches) and six-piston fixed aluminum calipers.
Like all Brabus light-alloy wheels the new 22-inch wheels are manufactured in OEM quality and represent state-of-the-art production technology.

VATH Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG : Review
One of the most powerful ML 63 AMG comes from VÄTH Automobiltechnik. This fast vehicle with up to 300 km/h is being built on the ML 63 AMG base in Hösbach. The heart of this high-performance SUV is VÄTH 6.3 liters 585 HP engine with sensational 690 Nm.
In order to give the powerful engine its desired serviceability many engine parts have been substituted. The engine has enlarged countersunk channels leading to the cylinder head. Moreover, big intake and exhaust valves as well as a sports camshaft and fitting valve springs have been installed. Furthermore, individual fine tuning of engine electronics was carried out and an exhaust manifold, two high-grade steel catalyst converters and a sport air filter were installed. Special forged pistons guarantee stability at high engine rpm. Engine tuning costs 17.850,00 Euro plus 1.785,00 Euro for the installation.
Acceleration values also benefit from this exemplary power characteristic: for only 4.5 seconds a heavy SUV like a sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h. At 300 km/h the giant is decelerated by air resistance.
Certainly this enormous available capability also imposes extreme requirements on aerodynamics, chassis and breaking system. The uplift on the rear axle can be reduced by a rear spoiler (405,00 Euro) mounted/glued over the tailgate. The 3-spoke 22-inch light alloy rims combined with high performance 265/35 ZR 22 or 305/30 ZR 22 Dunlop tyres and wheel arches contribute to driving dynamics and exclusive design. The price per wheel set is 8.568,00 Euros. Thus, there is enough space left for the VÄTH high performance breaking system (4.641,00 Euros) with 8-piston fix calipers and 380 mm (15″) break discs – be sure to find here flexible steel tubes and racing break fluids.
Adjustable sport suspension (1.952,00 Euros) based on Airmatic (-40mm/-1½”) not only ensures ML lowering, but also guarantees road holding capacity of a sports car.
Fog lights behind the front bumper grill for 583,00 Euros complete the masterpiece! Phew…
Mercedes Benz C63 AMG
When you think of Mercedes-Benz, cheap isn’t exactly a word that comes to mind, but when you look at the sticker price for the all-new 2008 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG, the words cheap, bargain and steal are hard to forget.
The car that tops the C-class range will land in Mercedes dealerships all over the country in March, and the best bit? It will start from only $139,500. That’s $17,500 less than the new BMW M3 and a massive $25,000 cheaper than the aging Audi RS4.
The C63 will be the fifth generation of the AMG C-Class, with the first official AMG C class, the C 36 AMG starting life in 1993. However Mercedes says the inspiration for the new car comes from the 190 E 3.2 AMG, released in 1987.
So how can a car which, on paper at least, outdoes its German rivals be cheaper? Because Mercedes-Benz has something to prove. You see, the M3 and RS4 have long been regarded as the best cars in their class, with the AMG sidelined and in some cases almost forgotten – but that is all about the change.
The C63 AMG is powered by a monster 6.2-litre V8 engine that pumps out an enormous 336 kW and 600 Nm of torque. That’s 27 kW and 200 Nm more than the M3 and 27 kW and 170 Nm more than the RS4.
In case you’re thinking this is, yet another, big brain-less engine, think again. This German monster is not lacking much in modern engine technology.
Some of its noteworthy features include variable camshaft adjustment, four-valve technology with bucket-type tappets and twin wire arc spraying (TWAS) of the cylinder walls for extremely low friction and wear which results in excellent long-term durability
The C63 sedan will go from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds (4.6 for the estate) while using 13.4 litres of fuel per 100km (13.7 for the estate). That makes it faster than the M3 (4.8 seconds) and the RS4 (4.8).
The awesome power and torque is put through a seven-speed AMG designed SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission.
Gear changes occur either automatically or via the AMG steering-wheel shift paddles. Drivers can chose between three drive programs offering extreme sport mode to comfort mode and one in between. The transmission will now also bleep the throttle on down-shifts, giving the car a superb noise when changing down.
Suspension upgrades are taken care of by an increase track width (35mm) at the front and rear (12mm). The front makes use of a three-link suspension system while the rear gets a multi-link independent rear suspension and more camber.
Mercedes has also further reinforced drive shafts and drive joints to handle the awesome power of the new C 63 AMG.
The car rides on newly designed 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a five-spoke design. The front receives 235/40 R 18 while the rear gets 255/35 R 18.
Brakes are one of AMG’s best known strengths and the C 63 is no different. Using 360 x 36 mm discs with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and 330 x 26 mm discs with four-piston fixed callipers at the rear, the C 63 is likely to outdo its German brothers when it comes to stopping power.
Exterior items unique to the C63 include a unique bonnet with power domes, AMG sports exhaust system with two chromed twin tailpipes, AMG rear apron with a black diffuser insert, distinctive AMG radiator grille, flared front wings and the AMG spoiler lip.
From the inside the car gets the AMG makeover with specially designed seats (with integrated head restraints) covered in soft nappa leather upholstery. Three difference interior colours are available, black, reef (light) grey and combined black/sahara beige.
There is also a unique AMG performance steering wheel in a three-spoke design with a 365-mm rim diameter and a flattened lower section (similar to the RS4).
The C 63 comes standard with a 3-stage ESP system, enabling the driver to pick between on, sport or off. Selecting ON will make the system control both brakes and power while sports will allow a little more fun before cutting in.
Other unique features include a glass electric sunroof, active bi-xenon headlamps, Harman/Kardon LOGIC7® surround sound system.
Given the low starting price, the options list is worth a look. Mercedes is offering a KEYLESS-GO automatic lock/unlock and drive authorisation system, an AMG Carbon fibre interior trim and an undershield for the engine.
Thus,the C 63 is supreme.
Mercedes-Benz new models 2010
Review Of Mercedes Benz 2010 Models
Beginning with the spring of 2010, Mercedes-Benz will introduce the new E-Klasse Cabrio. Although its main opponent, the 3er Cabriolet, uses a hardtop, the engineers have decided to stick to the already famous cloth top, in order to save costs. The sexy design of the open-top model will be derived from that of its Coupe brother, displaying the elegant double headlights, the tail lights with LED technology and the historical Ponton rear wing crease. The engine offer and the safety, assistance and infotainment systems will be borrowed from the other models of the E-Klasse range.
Other models to be launched in 2010 are the R-Klasse FL, in the first part of the year, and another updated version of the legendary Gelandewagen. The G 500 will pe powered by the all new 4,6 litres biturbo V8 unit, delivering 435 BHP, whereas the top-of-the-range, the G 63 AMG, will boast 544 BHP and an estimated price tag of 135,000 euros.
In December 2010, the 3rd generation of the SLK-Klasse will celebrate its world premiere. The compact cabrio will lose its F1-inspired nose and will display a more conventional radiator grille, a la SLS AMG. The exterior design will feature the new Mercedes philosophy, with a sportier front fascia and clear lines. The powerplants offered for the SLK R172 will be completely new, amongst which the most delicious-sounding unit will be the one under the bonnet of the future SLK 55 AMG, which is said to be capable of delivering a maximum output 422 BHP.
In 2011, Mercedes-Benz will introduce the third generation M-Klasse. Alongside other big SUVs in the range, the ML will receive a power boost for ML 350 CDI version, which is to reach 252 BHP, and for the ML 450 version, rising up to 408 BHP. Among the major premieres of the new M-Klasse will be a sophisticated 4x4 management system.
In 2013, the Stuttgart-based carmaker will launch the opponent for the recently-presented BMW X1. Badged BLK-Klasse, it will use the new FWD platform of the A- & B-Klasse models and an attractive offer of petrol and diesel engines. Of course, the clients will be able to ask for AWD configuration, but the entry-level, the BLK 220 CDI, with a price tag around 34,000 euros, will only be available in FWD mode.
