Haldiram confectionary owner convicted

Haldiram confectionary owner Prabhu Shankar Agarwal and five others have been convicted by city sessions court , Kolkata. They are accused of hiring killers to kill Satyanarayan Thakur, owner of the shop in the Burrabazar area. Agarwal wanted to remove the tea stall of Thakur blocking the entrance to his restaurant in Burrabazar, but the owner refused to budge.
The killers led by criminal and extortionist Gopal Tiwary shot Pramod Sharma, the nephew of Thankur. Tiwary, too, has been taken into custody .

Promod still runs the shop with his uncle.
