Wasim Akram's wife Huma, who was suffering from a unknown fever, died at a hospital in Chennai Apollo hospital.
She was admitted to the hospital on October 20 after developing in critical condition when an air ambulance flying her to Singapore from Lahore halted at the city airport for scheduled refueling of the airplane. She was rushed to the hospital but her condition never improved.
The disease was completely unknown to doctors.
