The Union Cabinet has declared a gratuity act amendment to increase the gratuity limit from Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. This decision has given a major relief to salaried people in the private sector. The gratuity level of the Central government employees have already been raised by the Sixth Pay Commission recommendation.
