The low-lying areas of the capital New Delhi is immersed in water. The water level in the River Yamuna crossed the danger mark , creating a Delhi flood.
River Yamuna is now flowing 22 cm above the danger mark of 204.88 meters.The rain was coming down hard over the weekend. This month, the city recorded 413 mm of precipitation, high over the past decade.
The flood water entering Delhi has sent alarm bells amongst the affected and the civic authorities. The city government has set up over 160 relief camps to tackle the threat of flood in Delhi.
