Medical Information

Since I moved here in the U.S 3 years ago, honest to say, I still have culture shock until now. There are so many things are amazes me and I can't still believe that I'm experiencing it. I never stop learning-- I love to discover and experience new things.

I like it when the doctors here gave me print out of the information for my diagnosis and treatment (even if it is only cold or sore throat) to take home. All basic information were all written for me to read and follow while I am recuperating at home. It really does help. I don't know if all doctors here does this but as far as my experienced from my doctors they never failed to gave me print out.

The reason why I said this because back in my country our doctors do not practice this. Of course they told us verbally of our diagnosis and on how to treat it with prescribed medicines but you know most of the time we forgot to do the basic treatment especially if we are outpatient. But this actually doesn't matter there because Antibiotics can buy even without doctor's prescription so this is the biggest advantage there.

Speaking of medical basic information-- the Internet is also one big factor of resources to get more information. Just google the sore throat home remedy, causes of cold, ephedra diet pills, causes of cancer, how to lose weight, etcetera many websites pop up for the answers. I also love how the information we need are just one click away. Don't know what more can I ask for. :)
