2006 Infiniti G Sedan

Nissan North America had a very strong sales month for the month of October. Nissan North America, Inc saw a total sales volume of 84,947 units for the month of October. That was an increase of 8.8 percent over October in 2006. Nissan North America, Inc. is made up of the Nissan Division and the Infiniti Division. Both of these divisions saw one model have a record month of October as they both had increases in their sales volume compared with October of 2006. This information was provided in a recent press release by Nissan North America, Inc.

The Nissan division saw a sales total of 74,992 units in the month of October. This was a 9.8 percent increase compared with last October's sales volume of 65,689 units sold. The Altima led the way for the Nissan brand. Overall the Altima had 21,778 units sold in October. This was a 41.9 percent increase over last October, and a record October for the Altima. Two vehicles with strong sales numbers in the line for October were the Altime Coupe with 3,117 units sold and the Altima Hybrid which had 927 units sold.

The Infiniti line of vehicles also saw a very strong month of October. Their total units sold was 9,955 during October of 2007. This was an increase of 1.8 percent over October 2006, which had a total sales volume of 9,406 units. The Infiniti line was led by it's G Sedan during the month of October. October was a record sales month for the G Sedan as it had 3,652 units sold. This was a 26.7 percent increase over last October. The G Coupe also had strong October sales with 1,887 units sold, which was up 29.9 percent compared with October of 2006.

Both divisions also had strong performances from other vehicles which were not records for the month. For Nissan, their all-new Rogue crossover SUV sold 5,038 in it's initial month on the market. These sales numbers were above expectations. For Infiniti, it wasn't a new vehicle that had a strong performance, it was their QX56 luxury SUV. The QX56 luxury SUV had 1,127 units sold in October, that was an increase of 18.2 percent when compared with October of 2006.

Overall for Nissan North America, Inc. their North American produced car line had an increase in sales of 22.8 percent when compared with October 2006, while their truck line saw a decrease of 13.9%.
