ABT Audi A7
Elegance in its most impressive form – the new ABT A7
Your first glance at the elongated outline of the A7 is a magical moment which you will want to repeat again and again. Like an elegant feline predator, the vehicle shows that it is ready to pounce at any time and is very dynamic. The ABT side skirts support this impression further. They make the extravagant Audi seem even more muscular, it is a sports car in a perfect tailor-made suit. The front spoiler and the rear skirt set with the distinctive 4-pipe exhaust unit underline the fact that ABT has placed special emphasis on "sport" with the new A7 Sportback.
"For us the A7 is a car whose optical qualities also must be reflected in its driving performance", explains Christian Abt. The General Manager of the traditional Bavarian company, who is responsible for technical developments, stresses that the A7 has to meet the high demands of its owner, both as a premium road vehicle and as a sporting machine. This applies to both the 3.0 TFSI and the 3.0 TDI. "We think that the diesel engine suits the A7 perfectly, as it combines torque and unbridled power with the highest possible economy", says Christian Abt. With ABT POWER the series standard 245 HP (180 kW) is increased to a powerful 282 HP (207 kW). The torque also rises from 450 Nm to an impressive 500 Nm. The big turbo diesel runs even more powerfully with ABT POWER S: this is because the "in-house" turbo charger from ABT SPORTSLINE is applied and the Sportback therefore brings 310 HP (228 kW) onto the road. With its powerful torque of 610 Nm the machine is both superior and offers high-torque and quick acceleration in every situation. The ABT A7 becomes a real sports car with a petrol engine: thanks to ABT POWER the six cylinders now offer 410 HP (302 kW), compared to the series-standard 300 HP (221 kW).
ABT offers designer light alloy wheels in the sizes 19 to 21 inch to suit the extravagant Coupé limousine with the practical tailgate. The alloys are, of course, also available in combination with high-performance tyres, so that nothing else stands in the way of
driving enjoyment. In combination with the lowering of the air suspension thanks to
ABT Level Control, the ABT A7 now sticks to the road even more. Impressive performance, elegance and extravagance now have a new name – ABT A7.

2010 ABT Audi R8 GTR
Sure, the R8 is no lame duck, and this is even more so once the sports car has been tuned by ABT Sportsline. The result is a real model athlete, which does not just ooze power, but also doesn't have a single gram of fat on its body. With the limited version R8 GT R (with only 25 units available) engineers and designers have gone one logical step further: experience from motorsport flowed into the design, and all the components have been systematically trimmed to ensure a light-weight construction and optimal weight distribution. As a result not just the bonnet, front and rear aprons, the adjustable rear wing or the tailgate are made of carbon, but the outline edge on the rear, the external mirrors and the door panel are also made of the same material. The side windows are made of Makrolon - the high-tech polycarbonate does not just reduce weight, but also has impressive strength properties. The result: the ABT R8 GT R is a proud 100 kilos lighter than its series counterpart.
How much motorsport the team, which comprises the current winners of the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters, actually brings to the road can be seen from the details: Recaro racing seats, a 4-point seat belt system, stainless steel roll-over bar with seat belt attachment, hand-held fire extinguisher or an ABT Sports steering wheel made of carbon – the people at ABT have thought of everything. "The R8 GT R is an uncompromising racing car for the road, and provides maximum performance", states Christian Abt. The successful motorsport racer indicates his responsibility for the development of this extraordinary vehicle and is impressed with the result. "I recommend trying the GT R on a racing track from time to time, as the car is great fun to drive there", says the General Manager of ABT who is responsible for technology. The adjustable front panel allows sports inserts; the ABT driver overalls, helmet, racing shoes and gloves are just as much as part of the effective GT R special equipment as an on-board video system and the expandable data module.
The well-trained sports car has enormous performance potential: instead of the series-standard 525HP (386 kW), the 5.2 FSI in the ABT R8 GT R provides a massive 620HP (456 kW) and as a result the light car travels extremely quickly: the top speed is 325 km/h, it does 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and the GT R reaches the 200km/h mark in a mere 9.9 seconds. In order to ensure that the power can be optimally applied on the road and on the race track, height-adjustable ABT Sports suspension and adjustable dampers are standard on the ABT R8 GT R. The ceramic brake system with modified brake pads has been adjusted to meet the enormous performance potential of the super sports car. The extremely light ABT CR alloys round off the package. On the front axle they are mounted in 9x18 inch and on the rear axle in 11x18 inch. The Michelin sports cup tyres are the perfect choice for the car. The ABT R8 GT R is a unique vehicle which provides maximum driving enjoyment. It has been designed for driving at the limit: from the weight-optimised exhaust unit to the ABT Titanium special coating – ABT's love of motorsport can be seen in every detail.

ABT Audi AS4 Cabriolet (2003)

How much engine power does a cabriolet need? Mere figures are no sufficient answer to this question. The ideal power unit for open driving first and foremost has to be sovereign. The six-cylinder engine of the Abt AS4 Cabriolet definitely is. The engine management of the 162 kW (220 hp) strong production machine has been modified by Abt Sportsline. Moreover, the three-litre unit has been fitted with a supercharger. Should the driver cry for performance, the Abt engine with its massive torque has plenty of it, in all rev ranges. If desired, 213 kW (290 hp) are available. In the case of the open four-seater, they are of the SP1 type, 8.5x19 inch with wide ContiSportContact tyres in 235/35 R19 size. With the wheel rim, declining flat to the inside, and the Abt ring with double holes, the SP1, casted in one piece, sets technical and optical highlights.
