Guilty Pleasure: Vegetarian Cupcake and White Russian Hole

I couldn't resist whenever I see anything sweet foods I have to have to try get them. My terrible massive sweet tooth really put me into the black hole where I couldn't get out without eating this stuff. Good thing I manage to limit myself if not I should live so I probably gain so much weight now and start taking the best diet pills in the world already. But that's not my case, as I said, I know to handle myself.

Besides, there are so many organic and vegetarian foods can be find in store nowadays that's why I'm loving the whole idea of it. At Whole Foods these cupcake and cakes I just find out.

This White Russian Hole is worth the price I paid is to die for....... I don't know what they do but this is not too sweet. I'm glad it has only less than 200 calories per serving.

Vegetarian Carrot Cupcake 100% natural is good! I'm drooling while writing this now. Urrgghh! lol

Weekend Food: Chicken Kebab and Pasta

Every time I go to Fresh Market there is always something that I find. Something I would not do by myself from scratch, I'm talking about food (well, Fresh Market only sell food..duh!) in general.  Since I went straight ahead to their pastries section; cakes, rugelach, cookies, brownies, pies, and among others were I always buy but this time I check out their meat section, and I found this marinade chicken kebab! Honestly, I haven't tried chicken kebab like that in my entire life (shameless confession!! he he), so I figured to give it a try. Feeling very excited when I take this home right there and then I broiled it by following the instructions written on its label.

Meanwhile, I prepare to make pasta for side dish. After all this simple pasta won't take me too long to cook. While the kebab is cooking in broil oven I cook the angel hair pasta noodles on the other side I cook the pasta sauce. To cook this pasta sauce is very simple you'll just need evoo, diced garlic, pitted black olives, capers, whole tomato sauce (no salt added), prosciutto (diced) or ground tofu meat but I used ground tofu so the husband can eat too.

Saute the garlic and ground meat with evoo after that add the whole tomato sauce pierce the tomato and add just a bit of water, simmer for 3 minutes. After, add the capers and black olives, and salt and ground pepper to taste.

When everything is ready to serve take a picture first for blog material... ha ha! kidding!! In the scales of 1 of 5 for the kebab I gave 4. It taste yummy and juicy. I don't rate my own pasta, it'll be biased would I?

Guilty Pleasure: Sushi and Siomai

Every once in a while I drop by at Japanese/Chinese buffet restaurant for some sushi and siomai to take out. I craved siomai most of the time just like fried chicken. These are my favorite foods. So when I crave for it that Japanese/Chinese buffet restaurant is where I always go.

Last Saturday after I grocery shopped I then went to that restaurant. I love how they accept to go for their food even though they're buffet so that I can save the rest of the food I couldn't finish for later. I'm a slow eater and I don't eat much that's why getting take out food is perfect for me rather to dine-in in a buffet restaurant where I paid whole but ate only half. :)

I'm strange, I know. But this works for me.
